Paramotoring is unpredictable. You launch expecting one kind of flight, and the sky has other plans. 🌤️

Maybe it was an engine-out in the middle of nowhere, a surprise weather shift, or even something funny—like an unexpected mid-air wildlife encounter.

Some flights you forget the moment you land. Others stay with you forever.

Maybe it was your first solo, a perfect sunset flight, or the time everything went wrong, and you somehow pulled it off anyway.

For me, i’ll never forget the time when our typically brownish-red desert mountain turned green after one on the wettest springs in years. The clouds hugged the mountains. 10/10 flight!

Right now, in the U.S., paramotor flights are restricted to daylight hours — but some pilots believe with the right lights, training, and safety measures, night flights could be safe and magical.

I just got an exclusive, behind-the-scenes tour of the National Weather Service here in El Paso — and let me tell you, seeing how our forecasts are actually made blew my mind.

✅ We launched a 100,000-foot weather balloon (with my son Leo doing the honors).
✅ We stood next to that giant Doppler radar ball you’ve probably seen in photos.
✅ And we got a full explanation of how they create the METARs, TAFs, and wind data we rely on as pilots.

Here’s the thing—and I have to speak cryptically—where you’re seeing this does not like the mention of any other platform. It detects the mention of any other social platform and suppresses the post so that people do not leave this platform. I can’t even call them by name.
