🏀 Kaleena Smith Makes History with Adidas NIL Deal – A New Era in Women’s Basketball
At just 16 years old, Kaleena Smith, a standout point guard from Ontario, California, is making history as the first high school girls’ basketball player to sign a Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) deal with Adidas.

Not only is she the first NIL signee under WNBA legend Candace Parker—now president of Adidas Women’s Basketball—but Kaleena is also one of the youngest athletes ever signed by the brand.

A 5''6" sophomore at Ontario Christian High School, Kaleena is the top-ranked recruit in the class of 2027 and was named National Freshman of the Year by MaxPreps. She’s already caught the eye of powerhouse programs like UCLA, UConn, USC, LSU, and Louisville, receiving nearly 20 college offers.

💬 “I’m blessed to be part of something Candace is creating,” Kaleena said. “Adidas is taking a different approach to help grow the game for players like me.”

Candace Parker called the moment “pivotal” in elevating women’s basketball and building greater access and representation in the sport.

Kaleena will represent Adidas both on her high school and AAU teams, helping pave the way for a new generation of young athletes to dream bigger — and get recognized sooner.
