Congrats to longtime volleyball coach and Roswell High School alum Flo Valdez on her induction into the NFHS National High School Hall of Fame Class of 2026!

She amassed over 1,000 victories coaching volleyball in Roswell, New Mexico and El Paso, Texas! 🏐

She won three state titles in volleyball in New Mexico (1976, 1977, 1993)! She also won a state championship in Track & Field in 1989!

Coach Valdez was the first woman to be inducted into the New Mexico High School Coaches Hall of Honor and has also been inducted into the Texas Girls Coaches Hall of Fame and the El Paso Athletic Hall of Fame and the New Mexico Sports Hall of Fame!

🎓✨ EPISD SENIORS – YOUR FUTURE STARTS HERE! ✨🎓

The El Paso ISD Education Foundation Scholarship is open — and multiple seniors can receive up to $5,000 to support their college journey! 🙌

This scholarship is designed for graduating EPISD seniors who have been enrolled in an EPISD high school for the last two years and are ready to take the next step toward higher education. We’re looking for students who demonstrate:
📚 Academic excellence
💪 Commitment and leadership
🌟 Potential to thrive in college

Key Details:
💰 Multiple awards up to $5,000
🎓 Open to EPISD high school seniors
📅 Deadline: April 10, 2026
📢 Winners announced: May 28, 2026

✅ Applicants must be enrolled for a minimum of 12 credit hours in the Fall of 2026.
✅ Applicants must meet all graduation requirements as specified by EPISD policy and set forth by the State of Texas by June of their graduation year (i.e. credits, EOC, etc.).
✅ Applicants must be accepted for enrollment by an accredited college or university.
✅ Applicants must have been enrolled the final two years (junior and senior year) of his/her education at an EPISD high school.
