Braden Gibson!

Thanks to a fourth place finish in the 200 we finish third in State!

Harlin Toillion took third is discus for 7 points!
Weston Hodel took fourth in the 3200 for 6 points!
4x1 of Owen Bergquist, Jayvion Maxon, Aaden Adams, Braden Gibson got eighth for 2 points!
Braden Gibson took second in the 100 and fourth in the 200 for 14 points!
And 29 was enough in a tight team race for third!

Great start for the EPGTF boys!

Prelims was excellent. We had ten boys compete and all ten will be back for finals. Season bests for all three relays. 4x8 and 4x1 advance. Also individual entries in Finals in 3200 (Drew and Weston), 100 (Braden, new school record 10.61), 1600 (Weston), 200 (Braden, new school record 21.98), high jump (Jayvion), discus (Harlin). Eight chances for points on Saturday. So we celebrated a successful prelims with an evening walk to get some ice cream.

Yesterday, the current 8th graders who are interested in coming out for football next year had lunch in Coach Malcom’s classroom. They spent their time hanging out, eating, and watching EPG Football highlights!

A great group of kids! We hope to see all of these boys and more on the field this fall!

Many good youth camps this summer!

EPG is excited to offer a wide variety of summer camps for our students this summer! All registration and payment will be completed through the 8to18 (Snap) online platform, making the process easier than ever. Families can now register for multiple camps and submit payment all in one quick and convenient transaction.

➡️ Click Begin Registration and follow the prompts

A few helpful reminders:
• You will need your child’s Student ID (found in Skyward) to complete registration
• If registering multiple children, click “Add Another Registration” at checkout before submitting payment to complete everything in one transaction

Middle school home opener tomorrow, April 23rd.
High school home opener this Friday, April 24th for TITANOMACHY!
Some updates on the season for those not subscribed to our email newsletter:
Braden Gibson (11) is currently ranked #8 in Illinois 1A in the 100 with his 10.87 EPG record time.
Weston Hodel (10) set the EPG sophomore record and is sitting #7 in Illinois 1A with his breakthrough 4:31.75 time in the 1600.
Drew Cooper (12) is also ranked in the top ten in 1A with his 9:58.09 in the 3200.
Jayvion Maxon's (11) high jump of 1.95 meters has him in a tie for 4th in 1A
Keyli Cogdal (12) is ranked #7 in the 300 hurdles with her 46.79
Our girls 4x1 relay of Keyli Cogdal, Jaida Reed, Mady Harms, and Teagan Tibbs is ranked 4th with their 50.35.
Also ranked #4 is our 4x8 team of Kiley Knapp, Sophie Hinthorne, Caroline Wettstein, and Haven Miller with their 10:04.84.

Come catch the Titans this Thursday and Friday at the Track and check out the new field turf while you're there.

Also, keep an eye out for information about our Track Camp and Mini Meet hosted by the high school program for kids aged pre-school through sixth grade on Saturday, May 9.

If you can't make it this Friday, we also host the super talented Heart of Illinois Conference Boys Championships (McLean County Track Meet) on Monday, May 11, a Boys Last Chance Meet on Saturday, May 16, and we host the IHSA Boys Sectional on Wednesday, May 20!
