There are athletes who win medals, and there are athletes who inspire everyone around them through the journey it took to earn them.

Today, we are incredibly proud and excited to welcome to our Familia. We are honored that she has chosen to continue her journey with us.

While her accomplishments speak for themselves, what excites us most is the person behind them. We know she will not only continue to chase greatness on the competition mats, but also help elevate everyone around her through her work ethic, knowledge, and example.

This Friday Coach will step on the mats to represent our Familia. As you all know she gives her all to every one of our students everyday. Always giving without ever asking for anything in return. That is the level of love she has for this Familia.

This Friday May 16th at the Hilton LAX is the time to show her what that means to all of us. Let’s all be there to show not only her our love and support but also to the students (Yeilah and Ares) that mean the world to her that will be competing there as well.

Today we celebrate the women who hold our Familia together.

The mothers of El Monte Jiu-Jitsu are more than supporters on the sidelines. They are the hearts behind our fight. They sacrifice, encourage, uplift, and love with unmatched strength every single day.

Thank you for every early morning, every tournament weekend, every comforting hug, and every proud smile. Your love and dedication shape not only champions on the mats, but strong human beings off of them.

To all the moms in our Familia — we see you, we appreciate you, and we are stronger because of you.

Watching these two grow into the coaches they are today…it’s something I don’t have the words for but I’ll try.

Violet and Bella aren’t just talented on the mats… they lead with heart. Every class they teach, every student they pour into, every extra minute they stay after, it all comes from a place of genuine love.

They don’t just coach techniques… they build confidence, discipline, and belief in everyone that steps on these mats.

I’ve seen the sacrifices. Early mornings, long days, putting others before themselves time and time again just to make sure their students feel supported, seen, and capable of more than they ever imagined.

That’s what makes me proud.

Not the medals. Not the wins.

But the way they show up for this Familia…every single day.
