If you follow my page, you've probably noticed I have a soft spot for horses in need. Most of the horses that come through my barn have a rough or unknown past, and these two are no exception. We brought them home a little over a week ago with very little history, but so far they've been wonderful to handle and be around.

Today is vet day! They'll be getting wellness checks, dental work, age estimates, a sheath cleaning for the gelding, and another ear check for ticks. We're hoping they age in the upper teens at most, but no matter their age, they're safe, loved, and will receive the best care here at Lone 'C' Horses. ❤️🐴

🌧️ Weather Update for Today's Lessons 🌧️
Due to the amount of mud around the barn and riding areas, morning lessons will be postponed for the safety of both our riders and horses.
The good news is that afternoon lessons are still a GO! We expect conditions to improve as the day goes on and will be ready to ride later today.

This has been happening all day we are getting soaked over here

Got in a couple new horses this week.... We didn't get much of a back story on them so starting from the ground up. These poor babies had so many ticks on them and their names were all tangled and ratted. I've been grooming them slowly and they love it, the bay gelding fell asleep while I was grooming him he enjoyed it so much and the mare was just as happy when I got over 20 ticks out of their mane and a few out of her ears. These beautiful horses will be well taken care of from now on and they go to the vet Monday for a good thorough check up and dental work. Fingers crossed they are not super old but even if they are we'll love them no matter what.
