Today, Varsity Head Coach, Ryan Williams, had the honor of awarding the 5th and 6th annual Keoni Riviera Award recipients.

🏆 Class of 2024 Recipient: Nate Sweet

The Keoni Riviera Award is the pinnacle of varsity basketball achievement at UMHS, representing not just exceptional basketball IQ, but also a commitment to academic excellence. This award is earned, not given, and stands as a testament to the hard work and dedication of these athletes.

It was only fitting to have Keoni Rivera himself present these prestigious awards to Andrew and Nate!

Congratulations to the senior athletes representing their schools at the 2024 Optimist High School All-Star Games in Sacramento today!

Small School North, led by UMHS head coach Ryan Williams and assistant coaches Rosen, Deville, and Keltner, showcased talent and teamwork. Union Mine’s finest, Nate Sweet, Ethan Gines, Damion Schade, and Hayden Otter, formed a formidable team alongside other selected athletes from our league. Together, they displayed remarkable teamwork and resilience on the court. Win or lose, their commitment to excellence and community shines bright! Here’s to a memorable experience and the bright futures ahead!
