UPDATE: City Council approved!!! Huge thank you to our Mayor & City Council. We also want to give a shout out to all our supporters from the beginning. We are so grateful for each of you!

Greetings friends & followers of the Expo!

Apologies for the long absence but we are grateful to say after multiple delays, our South Arkansas Expo arena has not only been ordered but it is almost ready for delivery!

Tuesday evening we were approved by the El Dorado Wins Board for the final costs to complete of our project. We are grateful to these board members for seeing the immense need for a facility like this in our community.

NEXT UP: We must get the approval of our City Council!🤞🤞 The meeting is tomorrow night, Thurs March 12 @ 5 pm in El Dorado City Hall.

⭐️ UPDATE!! ⭐️

For those who haven’t heard, the EXPO is out for BID! 🙌🏻🤠
Those are due the end of next week & then the fun can begin!

All great things take time!!

Thank you for your patience & continued support as every detail has been carefully planned & drawn. We will still have one more Works Board meeting & City Council to present the bids. When we know that date we will share & hope everyone can come to show they are still behind us! The EXPO will be a huge asset to our community & we are so excited for everyone to see the amazing plans we have. The site is ready for construction to begin! 🚧

Congratulations to one of our favorite Josey students. Emily won reserve champion for the Arkansas Junior High Rodeo in barrels. She will compete in Des Moines at the end of June for the Junior High School National Finals.

UPDATE: *** MEETING POSTPONED!!! ***

We will NOT be presenting next Tuesday, February 6th to the El Dorado Works Board! We are still finalizing plans & gathering the final bids. We will update y’all as soon as it is rescheduled!

We wanted to share an update on the Expo!

The next meeting of the El Dorado Works Board will be Tuesday, February 6, 2024 at 5:00 p.m.

Please pass the word, we need a packed room of supporters.

We have the final drawings to present, along with the additions of a stall barn, playground & dog park! The stall barn is a vital addition to keep this facility booked.

As you can see before the snow, the site is coming along. The terrain & slope has required more dirt work than anticipated but it is all coming together. Thanks to all the folks that have put in so much work on this!

All great things take time!

Remember to thank our city leaders for this amazing project & we hope to see you February 6th @ city hall.

UPDATE: 📣🤠 Our Expo Center is starting!!

The land has been surveyed & the deed delivered to the city! 🙌🏻

Huge thank you to Gary & Kristi Sewell for your gift of 24 acres donated to El Dorado!!!!! 🏆 It is in the perfect spot!

In the next few weeks, the land will begin to be cleared, master plan drawings are being finished & final details shaping up.

Thanks again to our community leaders & all our supporters for making this happen!!

*** We were approved tonight by our
El Dorado City Council to build a South Arkansas Expo Center!!! ***

Thank you to the Councilmen & Councilwomen for their support!

We also want to give a special thanks to Mr. Greg Downum from the El Dorado Works Board for presenting the proposal tonight for approval.

It is inspiring to see our community come together to build this facility. We are certain it will be a great benefit to our area economically, but more importantly, it will be a blessing to our area youth for generations to come.

Next time you see one of our city council members or a member of the El Dorado Works Board please thank them! We could not get this done without them.
