On this day in 1955, Gen. Choi Hong Hi officially named and founded "Taekwon-Do," forever changing the world of martial arts. What started as a vision for strength and discipline has grown into a global community of millions.

Today, we honor the "Father of Taekwon-Do" and the tenets he left behind.

Calling past and present students: We don’t normally do tournaments, but this one is an MTA one that could lead to nationals/internationals. A lot of great event options and GM Doran is trying to get a large group to attend this.

There’s also a black belt test the day before for those testing for a high ranking black belt belt (8th degree).
