Oak Ridge High School senior Allie Anatacio competed very well at the state meet trials on May 29th at Buchanan High School in Clovis. Allie placed 14th in the triple jump with a jump of 37'4.25". She came close to qualifying for finals which took the top 12 girls. Allie's first jump was 36'9" and her second jump was 37'2". Her third jump was her best at 37'4.25". Allie stayed very focused throughout her competition and progressively improved her jumps. She did this in a packed stadium of track fans who came to watch the top track and field athletes in the state compete. Allie completed her high school track career very strong and represented Oak Ridge High School Track & Field extremely well at the state meet. Coach Jamal Elmidge did a fantastic job coaching Allie during her four years of high school track and field. On May 16th at the Divisional Championships at Hughes Stadium, Allie set the school record in the triple jump with a jump of 38'2.5". She broke Karen Trapani's school record of 37'11" which was set back in 1997.
