Recently, due to the generosity of our sponsors (Imperial Valley Rifle and Pistol Association, Power Industry Support, R&K Air Conditioning and Indigenous Weapons Training), we were able to donate $2500.00 to the Autism Support of the Imperial County (ASIC). I want to thank all our sponsors, competitors, everyone who volunteered and all the businesses that donated to our raffle. It was a great competition with prize $$ going to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. Can’t wait for next year. Hope to see you all out there.

For concealed carry/defending yourself or others from an eminent threat, controlling recoil/muzzle flip is essential to acquiring your front site quickly, in order to fire multiple shots when necessary. This adjustment could make the difference in you surviving this type of confrontation. During a recent training, I adjusted a student’s grip and stance. With that minor adjustment, this shooter was able to reduce a string of 4 shots, from 7 seconds to 4 seconds. With training and applying the fundamentals, I’m confident he will become even more efficient. If you are paying for training, your instructor should be dedicated to ensuring your skill development as well as your safety. Be safe everyone and train.

Had a great week out at the IVRPA range. Started off with a CCW Qual and then had the opportunity to provide a mobility impaired client with his Initial CCW training and fi****ms qualifications. I was very impressed with his dedication, skill and accuracy. For those predators looking for a perceived soft target…. Look somewhere else….
So very blessed to be able to do this work.
Stay safe everyone and train.
Should you need any assistance, don’t hesitate to contact me.

Had a great day out at the IVRPA Range last week with an old boss/new friend performing CCW renewal training. We trained with shoulder holsters, as that was his go to for his favored of the three weapons. We also explored other holster options for the other two. Leaning towards appendix. As you may, or may not know, holster selection is challenging and time consuming (not to mention expensive). During my training, I expose my customers to all the different holsters, bags and concealment device options. My goal is to keep them safe and keep them comfortably armed, so that they are more likely to carry. If you are uncomfortable, you probably won’t carry.
Stay safe, train often and stay armed!!

Had such a great day at the range with a new CCW client. Even though he is experiencing some temporary physical injuries. He was able to complete the required training and qualify with all three of his fi****ms. I want to thank him for trusting me to be his instructor and can’t wait to shoot with him when he is fully recovered from his injuries.

Stay safe everyone and train…
