Today, Hoganās Victory Kickboxing & Karate celebrates 8 years in business.
Eight years ago, I took a leap of faith with a dream to make a difference in peopleās lives. Looking back, I am overwhelmed with gratitude for how far God has brought us.
Before anything else, I want to say thank you to my Sensei. ā¤ļø
You were more than just my instructorāyou were a mentor, a leader, and someone I looked up to like a father. You led with kindness, humility, integrity, and a servantās heart. You believed in people, encouraged them, and always saw potential where others didnāt.
When you became sick with cancer, you encouraged me to continue our style of karate and carry on what you had built. Iāll be honestāI was scared and questioned whether I was capable of doing it. But with your encouragement, a lot of prayer, and Godās guidance, He made a way and gave me the courage to take that step of faith.
Eight years later, I can honestly say Iām so thankful I did.
I hope Iāve made you proud by continuing to teach not only martial arts, but also the values you instilled in all of usādiscipline, respect, perseverance, humility, and serving others. Your legacy continues to live on through every student who walks through our doors, and I will always be grateful for the influence you had on my life.
To every parent who has trusted me to teach their child through karateāthank you. It is an incredible honor to help shape young leaders and watch them grow in confidence, discipline, respect, perseverance, and character. Watching my students earn new belts, overcome challenges, and believe in themselves is one of the greatest blessings.
To every person who has walked through our doors for kickboxing and fitness classesāthank you for allowing me to be part of your journey. Watching you become stronger, healthier, more confident, and realize youāre capable of so much more than you ever imagined is why I love what I do.
HVK has never been just about martial arts or fitness. Itās about building people. Itās about creating a community where people feel welcomed, encouraged, challenged, and supported as they become the best version of themselvesāboth inside and outside the studio.
To every student, client, parent, family member, and friend who has supported HVK over these past eight years, thank you from the bottom of my heart. None of this would be possible without you.
Most importantly, thank You, God, for opening these doors eight years ago, guiding every step, providing through every season, and blessing this journey far beyond anything I could have ever imagined. All the glory belongs to You.
