The 2022 US AM tour spring and summer season is rapidly approaching. Please see below for important notes and changes for the upcoming season.



Registrations Open

2022 events are now open for registration. There are two events that registration will be delayed. The May 7th event at Moccasin Run as the final details are still being worked out. Also, the June 27th Monday event in New Jersey at a location yet to be determined.

If the spring weather continues to hold out there may be an event added for the New Jersey schedule for the last weekend in March. Stay tuned.


Live Scoring

The tour will once again be implementing live scoring for all events. Enter the scores on your phone and track the live leaderboard as you play. For players new to the tour please download the US AM Tour app to your cellular device prior to your first event.



Gift Cards

This year players of each flight will be receiving American Express gift cards. These can spend just like cash and can be used anywhere that excepts credit/debit cards.



Handicap Info

For new players, I will need handicap info prior to your first event. If you have included your handicap index at your membership registration then you are good to go. If you have not then you will be contacted. I would need at least a minimum of your eight most recent scores, however twenty scores is encouraged to get a more accurate handicap calculation. Once you have played in four tour events you will then have a tour index which will be used for flighting purposes. However, the tour director may change your flight if deemed appropriate prior to your four events played.



Website

Changes have been made to the website to include more information. In the past an email would be sent to all players the day before the event with all important information. In an effort to get the information to the players sooner it will now all be on the website as it comes in.

This will include but not limited to:

Walking, caddy, and spectator policies.

Teeing grounds for each flight

Registration location

Local rules



Rules, Handbook, and Hard Card

Please familiarize yourself with the 2022 handbook and hard card found below. Also, the Philly/NJ tour local rules can be found below. These local rules are for the Philadelphia and New Jersey tours only and will be in effect for all events.

Nationals and Cup Matches Eligibility

For Nationals:

Senior Champ and Champ flights must compete in six tournament rounds.

All other flights must compete in seven tournament rounds.

Two of those tournament rounds must come on/after June 1, 2022

Please note that a tournament round is an 18 hole posted score



The Cup Matches:

The Philly and New Jersey Cup Matches are a Ryder Cup style event held at the end of the season. The top finishers of the player of the year standings in the Senior and Open divisions square off to see who takes home the cup and has bragging rights.

To be eligible players must complete at least five rounds on tour and have a minimum of four of those rounds be on their respective home tour.

Senior National Championship ➡️ October 13-16, 2022

Congrats to the winners of the inaugural Fall Duel at Riverview Country Club!! The 2-man team event featured best ball play for the front 9 and scramble for the back 9. Players were split into three flights based on their combined tournament indices. All the flights saw competitive action right down to the last hole.

Flight A winners were Paul Fedele and Andrew Oliveira who shot 5-under par to have a one stroke victory.

Flight B winners were Tim Wierzbinski and Mike Gast who shot 2 over par for a 2 stroke victory.

Flight C winners were John Nikoden and Donnie Sheldon who shot 3 over par for a 2 stroke victory.

This event counted as our last event for in 2021. The 2022 tournaments will start in April. Looking forward to seeing you all there!!

Today’s the last day for registration for the last tournament of 2021 - The Fall Duel @ Riverview Country Club in Easton, PA on Saturday, October 23rd. Registration Closes at 11pm.

Unique Event Format!

This is a team competition. With two player teams.

All teams will be flighted based on current tournament indexes.

Front nine - Better Ball of Partners.

Back Nine - Two Person Scramble.

Both formats are stroke play and NOT match play.

Registration Info

You may register as a single without a partner. The director will then pair you up with another single with a similar tournament index.

Any player can be paired with and compete with any other player. The only stipulation is that, for purposes of flighting, the total team handicap cannot be more than 10 points greater than the lower of the two’s handicap.

In other words, a 3 handicap can pair up and compete with a 20 handicap, but their total team handicap will be 16. Working off of the lower handicap, the maximum allowable is 10 points higher than the 3 handicap, so the 20 would be adjusted down to a 13 and their total would be 3 + 13, or 16, NOT 23.

The second tournament of the 2021/22 NJ US Am Tour season took place on Saturday at McCullough’s Emerald Links. A beautiful golf course and is a true links style course in southern NJ. The strong winds made it feel like true links golf in Scotland. Congrats to the flight winners!!
