After three days of competition, countless memorable shots, a few weā€™d all like to forget, and enough laughs to last another year, Falcon Cup XX came down to exactly what every golf fan hopes forā€¦

A playoff.

With the championship hanging in the balance, Steve Benedetto and Chris M. stood tied atop the leaderboard after 54 holes. Neither competitor was willing to give an inch.

Round 2 delivered everything weā€™d hoped forā€¦

A new leader has emerged.

Chris M. fired another impressive round to climb to -8 and will sleep on the 36-hole lead.

But the tournament is far from over.

Just two shots back sits Stephen Benedetto at -6, with plenty of golfā€”and plenty of pressureā€”still ahead.

Dave Bosco remains firmly in the hunt at -3, while the rest of the field will need something special to make a charge.

Stephen Benedetto came out firing with a net 68 (-3) to grab the solo lead after Day 1. The rest of the field? Theyā€™re already looking up.

Just one shot back at -1 are Dave Bosco, Greg Benedetto, and Matthew Salter, setting up what promises to be an exciting second round.

Twenty years ago, a group of friends got together for what was supposed to be a simple golf trip.
