We are so proud of Dalton!!

2026 EHS graduate Dalton Pickford was recognized at this week’s Board of Education meeting for helping Illinois win the Scholastic Clay Target Program (SCTP) All-State Team National Championship in July. Pickford earned a spot on the Illinois team following his performance at the Illinois State Shoot. The Illinois team won the national title with a score of 978 out of 1,000.

The wait is finally over… trap practice starts TODAY!🙌

We are SO excited to see all of our athletes back on the range, ready for another season of hard work, growth, teamwork, and, of course, having some fun along the way!

If anyone is in need of their hunters safety class - there’s one close to home

Our next Illinois Hunter Safety Course will be held at Edwardsville Gun Club on Monday, October 12, from 7:00 AM–5:00 PM.

This is the full 10-hour, in-person course for those seeking their Illinois Hunter Safety Certification. The class is free, but space is limited to 100 students and advance registration is required. No walk-ins will be admitted.

The course covers firearm safety, hunter responsibility and ethics, ammunition and firearm identification, zones of fire, tree stand safety, hunting regulations, and more. Students who successfully complete the course will receive their Illinois Hunter Safety Certification.

Monday, October 12 | 7:00 AM–5:00 PM
Edwardsville Gun Club
Cost: FREE
Advance registration required

Lunch will also be available for purchase from the club for approximately $10. Please bring snacks, and drinks.

🐯🧡 NEW MEMBER CLINIC = A SUCCESS! 🧡🐯

The rain tried to make an appearance… but thankfully, the sunshine came through! ☀️🌧️ And so did our future Tigers! 🐯

We had a fantastic turnout for our New Member Clinic and loved getting to meet the newest members of the Edwardsville High School Trap Club family. It was a great day of learning, fun, and getting ready for what’s ahead!

The countdown to the 2026–2027 season is officially on, and we couldn’t be more excited to see what this group of Tigers can accomplish! 💪🧡🖤
