⭐️SEDC Senior Spotlight⭐️

This is Kennedy Womack! She is from Edwardsville and will be graduating from Edwardsville High School. She started taking dance classes as a toddler and joined Studio E at 6 years old.
Her favorite memories with us are competition days when she was younger, winning and having fun with all of her friends. Her favorite dances have been Castaways and Kids.

She says, “Dance is important to me because it gives me the privilege to be a part of a team of girls that support and show up for each other. Dance and Studio E has made me open up so much from being a shy kid and has brought me so many of my best friends.”

Kennedy will be attending Louisiana State University in the Fall to study Business Marketing.🥳

We could not be prouder of you, Kennedy! Witnessing your growth has been such a gift. You’re forever familE💚

⭐️SEDC Senior Spotlight⭐️

This is Gracie Cook! She is 17 years old, from Edwardsville Illinois, where she will graduate from EHS!🐯She started dance at 7-8 years old, joining us when she was 9! Her favorite memory with SEDC was performing “The Chain” and being able to come back this year for her senior season.

Gracie says, “Dance has changed me by allowing me to express myself in so many ways and pushing myself even when it gets difficult. No matter what kind of day I had that day, I could go to dance, leave my bad day at the door, and tell a different story through the routines.”

Gracie is performing with this summer & will be attending Chicago Center of Performing Arts at Roosevelt University next Fall to get her BFA in Musical Theater with a dance concentration!

We are so lucky to watch you shine, Gracie, and wish you the best as you go do amazing things!💚

⭐️Senior Spotlight⭐️

This is Bailey Mayhew! She is 17 years old, from Edwardsville, Illinois, where she is graduating from Edwardsville High School. She started dancing at two years old, joining Studio E when she was five. Her favorite memory with Studio E was getting a buzzer at ID for Line this season!🏆

Bailey says, “dance has changed me by making me realize how important working hard and having a good work ethic is. Dance has taught me resilience, strength, and discipline.”

It has been a pleasure to witness your growth and artistry, Bailey! We certainly will miss you here , but we wish you the absolute best as you go off and attend Southern Illinois University Edwardsville to study nursing!

This is Shelby Brown! She is 18 years old from Edwardsville, Illinois, where she is graduating from Edwardsville High School. She’s been dancing with us since age 5. She says her favorite memory was “all of us getting ice cream at Annie’s after a hard week of dance,” and her favorite dance she’s done was her first competitive dance at Studio E called Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy. Shelby will be attending Southwestern Illinois College for their Culinary program.

We could not be prouder of you, Shelby, and are thankful to have you grow with us for all these years. We wish you the absolute best in this next chapter of yours, but know you are always 💚
