💥June Member Of The Month: Lisa F💥

Lisa has been with I-Koach for over 3 years now! In the last 4 months she has dropped 3% body fat and 6 lbs all while maintaining and even gaining a pound of muscle mass!

Each week she comes consistently with a great attitude and drive for every session. We’re so proud to call her part of our I-Koach family. Keep up the great work Lisa!

A full rep on a bicep curl involves moving the weight through the entire range of motion, starting with the arm nearly straight and curling the weight all the way up before lowering it back down under control. This helps develop strength and muscle throughout the full movement and is generally the most effective approach for overall bicep growth. A half rep only uses part of the range of motion, either the bottom half or the top half of the curl. Half reps can be useful for increasing time under tension, targeting a specific portion of the movement, or extending a set after reaching fatigue, but they do not train the muscle through its full range as effectively as full reps. For most athletes and lifters, full reps should be the primary focus, with half reps used occasionally as a supplementary training technique.

Progressing in push-ups is important because it allows your body to continue adapting and getting stronger over time. As you become more proficient at standard push-ups, increasing the difficulty—through added repetitions, sets, tempo changes, or more challenging variations—helps develop greater upper-body strength, muscular endurance, and core stability. Progressive overload also improves functional movement patterns used in sports and everyday activities, while reducing the likelihood of reaching a training plateau. By consistently challenging yourself with more advanced push-up variations, you can continue building strength in the chest, shoulders, triceps, and core while improving overall fitness and movement efficiency.

Huge shoutout to one of our OG members, Bill! 👏

For over 2 years now, he has continued to show up, stay consistent, and put in work week after week. He’s constantly willing to take on new challenges, push himself outside his comfort zone, and focus on building healthier habits that last.

Something else I truly admire is that Bill knocks out about 120 push-ups every single week on our upper body days!💪

His progress is such a great reminder that consistency truly adds up over time. We’re so proud of everything he’s accomplished and grateful to have him as part of the I-Koach family! 🔥

The dumbbell clean and dumbbell sn**ch are both explosive full-body exercises, but the main difference is where the weight finishes. In a dumbbell clean, the weight is lifted to the shoulders in a rack position, while in a dumbbell sn**ch, the weight moves all the way overhead in one motion. The clean is often used more for strength and learning power movements, while the sn**ch focuses more on speed, coordination, shoulder stability, and conditioning. Both exercises train the legs, hips, core, and upper body, but the sn**ch is usually more technical and requires greater mobility.

The Turkish get-up is a highly effective full-body exercise that improves strength, stability, mobility, and coordination all at once. It challenges the core, shoulders, hips, and legs while also improving balance and body control through multiple movement patterns. Because the exercise requires slow, controlled movement, it helps build joint stability and can reduce the risk of injury, especially in the shoulders and lower back. The Turkish get-up is also beneficial for athletes because it develops functional strength that transfers well to sport and everyday activities.
