The Vail Christian High School girls tennis team lost in the state semifinals in a heartbreaker late last night. We would like to congratulate them on a fantastic season and thank all those who came out to support them at Homestead yesterday. 🎾

Eagle Valley Wildland will continue to offer monthly free chipping again this summer. Pickup will be offered once monthly throughout the summer months, with the first pick up during the week of May 17th in Homestead. How should it be stacked for pickup? Slash should be placed near the curbside, but NOT on the asphalt road or any paved surface. Vehicles must be clear of the pile. Material should be in a single concentrated pile, stacking the pile HIGH, not long; the higher the better! Any piles smaller than 2 cubic yards should be combined with your neighbor’s pile if possible. Two cubic yards is the size of a large refrigerator, 3 ft x 3 ft x 6 ft. Do not stack slash in ditches or depressions. Piles must be within 5 feet of the road. Do not place piles directly under power lines, near gas meters, phone and utility pedestals or mailboxes. Be aware the slash pickup truck must be stabilized at each stop and the truck’s loader arm has a limited reach. Homesteads DRC is temporarily allowing trimming of branches and shrubs without prior approval from May 1st-17th, 2026 for the purpose of reducing wildfire risk in the neighborhood.

Her goal is simple: help you leave class feeling stronger, more confident, and ready for whatever comes next, whether that’s a ride outside, a hike in the mountains, or the rest of your day.

Please join us tomorrow, Saturday, April 4th, from 10am-11:30am for a fun filled Easter party including bouncy houses, face painting, balloon artist, a coloring contest, arts & crafts, coffee, pastries and, of course, a visit from the Easter Bunny. The party will head outdoors and conclude with an Easter egg hunt at 11:30am for ages 1-9. Don’t forget to bring your Easter baskets. Please note, the egg hunt will begin at 11:30am and will be held outside rain, snow or shine! Other activities will be held on the indoor tennis courts from 10:00-11:30am. Party is for Homestead residents and members only, and all children must be accompanied by an adult. We hope to see you there!

Our pool area including the pool, hot tub and steam room will be closed for our annual deep cleaning and repairs beginning this Saturday, April 4th. The pool will re-open on Sunday, April 12th. Thank you for your understanding as we work to improve Homestead.
