Mana Martial Arts, we often say that we are more than a school—we are a family. Today, that truth calls us to support some of our own during an incredibly difficult time. Miss K, one of our after-school care teachers and Camp Teachers, recently experienced the sudden loss of her father. He was not only her parent, but her primary source of support while she was attending college. His passing has left her facing unexpected challenges, including housing and food insecurity, while navigating grief. This loss has also deeply affected Haivynn and Aubree, Coach Jerrod’s daughters. Their stepfather was an important part of their daily lives, and they are now processing his sudden absence. As they grieve, our hope is to surround them with love, stability, and moments of light during a heavy time. Our goal is to help provide meaningful experiences—such as trips to the zoo, museums, or other activities—so Coach Jerrod can spend intentional, healing time with them.
