t get enough of seeing kids GET IT. Sometimes it’s even better when they have struggled a while before their faces light up in a big “A-ha!” And the kids are so into it, they forget they’re learning. But they keep coming back for the fun and the energy and the accomplishment that’s a part of Edmond Gymnastics Academy. If your child skips gymnastics… they miss the foundation of movement for life. 👀
As an athlete, I truly believe this. Gymnastics is not just another sport. It’s the foundation of all physical development. It teaches kids how to move, how to control their body, how to fall safely, and how to build strength, mobility, and coordination from a young age. 🤸‍♂️

This is not about becoming a gymnast.
This is about building a body that works well for LIFE.

Regular PE is not enough anymore. Most classes are too general, too short, and don’t actually teach kids how to move properly. Kids run, play games, and stay active—but they don’t build real strength, coordination, balance, or body control. Without a strong physical foundation, they struggle later, get injured more often, and lose confidence in sports. That’s why something like gymnastics, which builds these fundamentals from the ground up, is so important.

Kids who develop these basics early are more confident, more active, and less likely to get injured in other sports. They move better, feel stronger, and carry that into everything they do: on the field, in school, and beyond. 💪

Most sports focus on results.
Gymnastics builds the base first.

And that base changes everything.

If more parents understood this… more kids would stay active, feel confident, and actually enjoy movement instead of struggling with it. 🏆

When a sport becomes everything, it can also take everything.

That is where a lot of athletes get stuck.

They feel like if they struggle, fail, or step away… they lose who they are. So they stay, even when it stops feeling right.

But that is not what Myia Hambrick experienced.

She grew up knowing it was never gymnastics or nothing. It was something she chose, not something she was trapped in.

And that changes everything.

Because when athletes know they have options, they show up differently. There is less fear. Less pressure. More freedom to grow, to fail, and to actually enjoy the process.

That is what builds confidence that lasts.
