Fun way to bond with my little one while still getting some work done. Mamas, I know you are busy but don’t forget to cherish the moments with your children. They grow up in a blink of an eye and you don’t want them to grow up and then wonder if you did enough for them or wish you did more. The time is NOW to enjoy them. The other things will still be there when your kids don’t want to cuddle with you anymore, play with you, or even sometimes talk to you. Be present and enjoy your life now ❤️

What a wonderful reminder this is! Often, as adults, especially as parents, you take on many responsibilities that you often forget to play and just be happy. When you get caught up in your responsibilities, your patience dwindles and negative emotions or behaviors come out. Something to learn to do is to be calm despite the responsibilities, struggles, and everyday challenges that we go through. This is the key to true happiness. And of course being grateful for everything that you have in your life.

We have about 40,000 to 70,000 thoughts a day and approximately 98% are the same thoughts we had the day before! Are they positive and uplifting? Do you think you can achieve anything? Are you kind to yourself? Or are your thoughts negative and limiting? Do you put yourself down? Do you think you deserve bad things in life? That things will never get better for you? You can’t have something because you’re not smart enough? You are what you think! You’re mind is powerful and with a lot of effort and training, you can make it believe whatever you want! I used to be negative and suffer from depression. Had thoughts consistently that I was too fat and ugly. That I wasn’t deserving. Guess what? It didn’t serve me any good or anyone else around me! You are amazing. You deserve the very best in life just as much as anyone else. Believe it and live an extraordinary life!

I just finished reading this book while on vacation and highly recommend it! Did you know that approximately 95% of people settle for far less than what they want in life? They don’t have the relationship, job, finances, health, success, or happiness that they want. Most people will look back on life wishing they would have done more. You don’t want this to be you! Starting Monday I will be doing the Miracle Morning 30-Day Life Transformation Challenge and need an accountability partner or partners! I challenge you to take the challenge too! I try to do affirmations every morning to get in the right mindset and to improve my self esteem. I kept forgetting to do them until I wrote them on the mirror and now it’s in my morning routine. I get ready and then I read my affirmations. I like to do them in a power stance: chest up, hands on hip. Like superwoman! Exercise looks a little different for me these days. Yesterday consisted of running around the backyard while pulling this little one in his sled. Exercise comes in many different forms. How is he this big already!! I’m getting back into doing monthly pictures because I missed seeing the changes! Antonio isn’t talking much but is saying more, mama, papa, and up. He signs milk, please, more, all done, and eat. He loves music with his favorites the itsy bitsy spider, wheels on the bus, I love you (Barney song 😆) and yes baby shark. He also loves to dance! This little boy is full of energy, eats like a cow, and is always happy! If only we can get his sleeping down! He still wakes up every 2-4 hours. But I love every single moment with him. Time goes by way too fast so cherish every moment with your loved ones. Share a picture of your babies or loved ones. I would love to see your blessings ❤️

Did you know that technology is designed to be addictive? And children are more susceptible to adult so it’s crucial to limit their screen time. As little as 2 hours of screen time per day can have a cognitive impact on a child resulting in lower thinking and language test scores. A recent study shown that children who use it for 7 hours or more a day exhibit premature thinning of the brain cortex! The brain cortex is responsible for higher thought processes including speech and decision making. It is also important for processing different types of sensory information. As a school occupational therapist, I can see changes in kids today. Too much screen time can impact important developmental skills such as fine motor, gross motor, imaginary play, communication, attention, and sensory processing to name a few. As adults, it is our job to protect our children’s health and well being.
