Our Story
An organization committed to the growth and expansion of lacrosse in Minnesota. Grow the game, respect the game, love the game.
Lacrosse participation in Minnesota has grown significantly in recent years and the quality of instruction is continuing to improve. With the programs offered at True-MN, players now have an opportunity to learn lacrosse skills taught in the East Coast lacrosse hotbeds and used in NCAA-level competition. Teaching East Coast skills and incorporating Minnesota values, gives True-MN an unmatched top-quality program for all-around development of the Minnesota lacrosse player. True-MN is committed and passionate about growing the talent level of Minnesota players, with a goal for this state to become another lacrosse hotbed, on par with the ones out east.
Director L.C. Moerschel’s lacrosse experience began early in his youth, when he started learning East Coast lacrosse skills in Annapolis, MA. He honed those skills during his high school years at Annapolis High School, which included a state championship in 2003. Moving on from his high school success, L.C. played lacrosse at Division I Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA. Since college, he has been coaching youth and high school teams, along with teaching lacrosse skills to individual players. He is currently the Offensive Coordinator for the University of Minnesota lacrosse team and is focused on taking Minnesota lacrosse players of all ages to the next level.
Director Dan Forsyth was born and raised in Minnesota and started playing lacrosse as a 9th grader at Armstrong High School in Plymouth, MN. Dan finished his high school career as a three-sport athlete/captain (football, hockey & lacrosse). During his junior year, Dan attended recruiting camps with Minnesota Elite and was offered several NCAA Division I scholarships. He was the first Minnesota recruit to receive and accept a Division I scholarship, when he attended Stony Brook University (Long Island, NY). He then transferred to LIU Post University where he completed his playing career and became an assistant coach for his college team. The LIU Post team won NCAA Division II Championships in 2009 (Dan’s last year of playing) and 2010 (Dan’s first year of coaching). Dan continued coaching at LIU Post until 2015, when he was hired as the Director of House Lacrosse for an indoor sports facility in Westchester, NY. Dan worked closely with Ned Crotty (All American, Tewaaraton Trophy Winner, NCAA Division I Championship, Pro Lacrosse NLL/MLL & Team USA) to train youth and high school players in the East Coast skills. Dan is excited to bring his East Coast experience and knowledge back to his home state of Minnesota and offer it to aspiring players through the True Lacrosse organization.
