May is Water Safety Awareness Month 💦

🚨The perfect reminder that drowning is preventable and water safety starts with us.

A few simple ways to keep your family safer around water:

• 👀 Always have active, undistracted supervision, eyes on, within arm’s reach

• 🛟 Ditch the floaties! These devices are for open water ONLY! Leisurely swimming in life vests creates a false sense of security.

• 🚪 Secure pools with fences, locked gates, and alarms. Is your pool fence latch in good working condition?

• 🏊‍♂️ Invest in survival swim lessons—they save lives

• 📱 Put the phone down‼️ Any distraction cost seconds that matter

Water is fun, but it demands respect. Let’s work together to keep our kids safer this summer 💙
