It’s been brought to my attention that some kids may not have gotten a PE positive 💔 I tried to make sure everyone got one, because they seriously all deserve it, but alas my memory doesn’t always serve me well 🤦‍♀️ if anybody was sad about not receiving a card, please message me and send me your address. I will mail the kids one!

This year I took a huge leap and started up something that turned out to be so much bigger than I expected! I was NOT athletic when I was younger and honestly thought the last thing I’d ever be is a PE teacher 😂 but my gift is not knowing everything about sports or being the most athletic, it is having a teacher’s heart. I often reflect on how PE made me feel as a kid and I strive to not replicate public school PE, but rather create a place where kids feel welcome, heard and understood. We do “ins” not “outs”, we work together to create lesson plans based on interest, we can say “no” when we are not comfortable doing something. I am so thankful God led me here and I listened because I have truly never felt so good about any “job” I’ve ever had! My first year of Homeschool PE is over and it was more than I ever expected! THANK YOU to everyone who liked/shared posts, spread the word, tried a class, helped out in class, etc etc etc! I was absolutely spoiled by my sweet PE kids and parents this week with the sweetest notes and gift cards (yeah!!!!) thank you so much for that too, everyone that contributed. 🫶🏼 we will start back up in August! And until then, I am running a sports camp at Southeast Volusia Family YMCA. More info on my page. Love you all 💖

Amazing day for Homeschool PE at Southeast Volusia Family YMCA’s beautiful pool! ☀️💧 What an incredible year of PE here. I’ve absolutely loved watching the kids learn and build relationships with each other. Also huge thank you to Chick-fil-A Edgewater for providing free lunch for our kids today!

Dodgeball games are still on tomorrow at Port Orange Volusia Family YMCA, normal time! 🙂 $12 to drop in if you didn’t register for the month! 💪🏼

From cheers at awards to full-on field day chaos 🌟💦🏃‍♂️ what a way to close out the school year at Liberty Oaks.

Today was filled with laughter, teamwork, soaked shirts, big wins, and even bigger smiles. These moments are what make our school community so special.

A huge shoutout to Coach Alex for bringing the energy, encouragement, and positivity every single day. The impact you’ve made on our students goes far beyond the games — you’ve helped build confidence, connection, and so many unforgettable memories this year. We are beyond grateful for you! 💙

Attention PE crew at Southeast Volusia Family YMCA!!

This week is our POOL DAY and I have a few bits of important information!

Arrive early for the swim test. It may take a while with our larger group and we have to be out of the pool at 11:30 so I want the kids to get as much time as possible! We’ll be getting there at 10. Kids can still get in the pool if they don’t pass the swim test however there will be restrictions.

Parents and siblings welcome to join

I have some toys and games planned however it’s mostly a day for the kids to hang out and have fun. The water slide should be turned on for them too!

Feel free to bring healthy snacks to share. I’ll be bringing watermelon for all the kids.

-Extended hours on Friday!
-Water days every other Monday. This will be held outside of our facility and weather dependent. Please bring your own chair and sunscreen! $15 per jumper
