About Master "Coach" James Peart
I was born in 1976 in Madison WI. I found I had a passion for martial arts at the early age of 6 years old. Learning American Kenpo and Tae Kwon Do into my teens, I branched out to study a wider array of systems. Finding my first love with the now defunct R.B.W.I. was my real introduction to unarmed and ancient weapon combat as well as fieldcraft. From there I found Hapkido, a traditional Korean combat art, encompassing both empty hand and weapons. After a short stint in the U.S. Army I was back at it finding a modern version of Hapkido as well as Kali (a Filipino art based on weapons first and empty hand after). Now, 40 years after the beginning of the journey, I have explored many arts, some for the dynamic, some for the practicality, but all have had an influence. My Ranks include:
6th Dan - Chon Sul Kwon Hap Ki Do
5th Dan - Kenpo
3rd Dan - Tae Kwon Do
2nd Dan - Bujinkan Budo Tai Jutsu
1st Dan - Krav Maga
1st Dan - Hoshinsul Hapkido
1st Dan - Kali
Instructor Certification - Koryo Gumdo
Level 2 - International Combat Systema Assocation
Black Belt Society - R.B.W.I
