Future MVPs starts Sunday, January 11
1st, 2nd, and 3rd graders - 11-12:30
4th and 5th graders -12:30 to 2

Didn’t sign up but want to participate in this fun practice where players learn the basics of volleyball, feel free to come Sunday and fill out all the necessary paperwork and pay the $80 fee. Reminder that every participant needs a Badger junior player membership at a cost of $17.50. Eight and under’s membership is free but still need to “buy” one.

We are just over 12 hours from tryouts and just a few reminders:
- Tryouts are at Marathon Area Elementary School
- Doors will open at 8 a.m. - please use the south parking lot
- Please arrive at least a half hour before the scheduled start time.
- Please make sure your daughter attends the correct tryout. Age definition chart is below and is by birthday and not grade or what age they will be next birthday
- Didn’t send in your registration form, no problem. We accept same day registration.

Tryouts will be Saturday, October 4:
9 am to 10:30 am - 12 year olds and under (for players that want to play on a traveling team)
11 am to 12:30 pm - 13 year olds
1:30 pm to 3 pm - 14 year olds

Makeup tryouts for 12s, 13s, and 14s teams will be at 6 pm Saturday, October 4th.

Must have a Badger tryout membership, which costs $10 and has to be purchased on badgervolleyball.org website. Proof of membership will be needed at tryouts. MVP tryout fee is $25 if signed up by October 1, $30 if signing up after October 1 or on the day of tryouts. Form will be posted this week.

A parent meeting will be Sunday, September 28, at 6 pm at Marathon Area Elementary School for parents and players with questions about club volleyball.

After discussing with coaches the idea of having summer tryouts, MVP Club has again decided not to do summer tryouts. Probably the biggest reason we decided not to have tryouts in the summer is as school coaches we see the gains athletes make throughout their school season and we feel by having them play their school season and then doing tryouts in the fall they are going to be able to show us how much they have improved, which will increase their chances of making a team.

MVP Club continues to offer the opportunity to play under the direction of great coaches with parents choosing what tournaments teams enter. Our prices remain low so families can afford to give their child(ren) the opportunity to participate in club volleyball and we don’t require families to participate in fundraising. We also have the option of making payments instead of paying the full fee up front, this is especially nice for families that have multiple players.

We also want to encourage boys in Central Wisconsin to tryout for MVP Club. Boys are able to play on girls 14 and under teams, but we’d love to fill a full boys team.

With the success of our developmental program the last 2 club season, we will again be offering this on Sundays starting in January. If you would like more info, please leave a comment and we’ll get back to you.
