The pictures are few, but the results from last weekend’s race were good. Jeff was the only team driver and he did the team proud. Starting second, Jeff stayed there while the rain came in half way through the race. With 3 laps to go, Jeff made the pass for the lead and remained there and took the win! A great start to the season for him as that’s 3 podiums in the first 3 races. Thanks to those that help us make this happen.

2025 Burt Brothers Motorpark Karting Champion! Jeff’s 4th place finish in the race clinched the championship for him. Shawn was directly behind finishing 5th. It was a season of adversity but the whole team was up for every challenge thrown at them. Thanks to the third driver on our team , our chief mechanic and new mechanic Dan Zumbo and our garage partner Dan Lord. Special thanks to our partners who help make this possible With the last race of the season in the books, we’ll get things cleaned up and put away for a long winter’s nap!

Another great and successful weekend racing in Baja Mexico for Jeff. They finished second in their class and may have taken the lead in the points championship with one race to go Thanks to Dave Schoellerman joining me and being a great pit crew member! Now we shift gears and get ready to try and lock up the karting championship this weekend!

Winner, winner chicken dinner! Jeff was able to take his first win of the season over the weekend. Official point standings for the championship aren’t out yet, but he did add to his lead. The last race of the season in 4 weeks will decide things. Dan made his second start of the season. He did a great job avoiding an accident in front of him at the start of his race, but it dropped him to the rear of the field and to far behind the pack to make up any ground. As always, our chief mechanic did a great job all day keeping the karts at peak performance and to Barbie for taking pictures and helping get karts loaded onto their stands. Thanks to our partners who help us do this.

Race 8 recap. They change the track layout and direction for each race so that we never race the same configuration during the year. The configuration for race 8 is called Bonkers and it lived up to its name. No straightaways so passing is difficult. It’s the first time we had the whole team racing on the same day. Thanks to our chief mechanic for keeping everything rolling and thanks to for the pictures. We didn’t have great results. Dan was 13th in his class, Shawn was 10th and Jeff 6th in their class but that’s the way racing goes. Jeff remains in the championship battle with two races to go. Next race is September 13. Thanks to our partners for helping us do this -

Another adventurous weekend of racing for Jeff and Shawn. The good - Jeff finished 2nd and continues to be in the battle for the season championship with 3 races to go. The bad - Shawn was the victim of an accident in the second heat race causing some serious damage to his kart. With the help of our Chief Mechanic and our off-road racing friends Oscar and Mike, repairs were made Shawn was able to start the final race. Unfortunately his engine starting losing power halfway through the race. Next race in 2 weeks and the guys have a lot of work to do to get both karts ready. Thanks to our partners who help us do this

Wow, what a race weekend! Jeff was the only one from the team racing, but his adventures made up for it. Jeff got tired of getting his chassis welded after every race so he ended up buying a new one. If you thought that would make him be cautious with it, you’re wrong. In the second heat race there was contact with him and another racer resulting in a bent steering shaft, bent steering arms and a bent spindle bolt. Lead by chief mechanic and the help of fellow competitors, the team thrashed and got the kart ready for the main event. Jeff ended up finishing 3rd but considering the events of the day, it’s a good 3rd place finish. Thanks to our partners for helping us do this.

I often get asked how much maintenance we do on the karts between races. The short answer is - it depends. On this one, we have taken off the engine, exhaust pipe, tires, fuel tank, rear bumper, rear axle, front bumper, steering wheel and front fairing. Total time for parts removal, cleaning, maintenance and reassembly is between 8-12 hours to do it right and depending on what needs to be done.

It was a roller coaster at the track on Sunday. Jeff was the only one from the team racing. After his qualifying session, our great chief mechanic found a crack in the frame. A fellow competitor had a welder near buy and another competitor is a professional welder. With their help the frame was repaired and the everyone scrambled to put the kart back together, but Jeff missed his qualifying race. In the main event race, Jeff was able to go from 8th to 3rd place which put him on the podium. Considering the events of the day, it felt like a win for the team! Thanks to our partners who help us do this.

A bit late getting this post out. Last weekend was total chaos at the kart track. The day started with rain and then turned dry. In the end Shawn finished 4th and Jeff finished 2nd. The one race picture shows Shawn in fourth and Jeff in 5th. Glad that weekend is over! Thanks to our partners
