Velocity Hockey Center NEWS!

Velocity’s State of the art Training Facility in Edina Moving to Eden Prairie location on November 1st, 2024

Velocity Family,

We are very excited to announce that the Velocity Training Center located in Edina for the past 12 years will be moving to Eden Prairie, MN next month on Nov. 1st, 2024. We should be up and running on November 11th, 2024. We will be offering winter team and individual programs at the new location at that time. Please be on the look out for emails detailing what programs we will be offered.

For the past 12 years we have trained many athletes ranging from Youth, High School, College and NHL players in our state of the art facility in Edina located next to Braemar Arena. We built a lot of relationships with many athletes in the metro area and will continue to grow the Velocity Hockey brand at the new location.

We are super excited to bring the Training Center to Eden Prairie where our Velocity Hockey Center is currently located and has been in operation since 2006. This will be a huge benefit to our athletes to have an all inclusive program with all of their training Needs under one roof in Eden Prairie. This new set up will maximize their development by having the athletes training on and off the ice at the same location. The NEW facility will similar in set up to the previous Edina location.

Secondly, We are making some NEW and exciting changes and additions to the Velocity Hockey Center layout, including new and larger lockerooms. We will also be adding some nice new features to the facility that all the parents and athletes will enjoy!

The construction is currently underway and we look forward sharing its progression with you over the next few months. Once again, be on the lookout for training opportunities coming with the completion of the training center next month at its new Eden Prairie location! We look forward to seeing out at the Velocity Hockey and Training Center in the near future!

2024 Velocity Summer Shooting & Stick-handling Clinics at the Velocity Hockey Center. FEW SPOTS REMAIN!

This clinic is designed for players who are serious about taking their Stick-handling/Shooting abilities to the next level. In this session, players will be instructed being shown good technique, going through quality repetitions and being provided positive feedback thus enhancing their ability to succeed.

The small group atmosphere (14-16 Players only) will enable players to get many quality repetitions as well as quality instruction. The clinic will consist of eight (8) one hour on-ice of instruction. This comes to 2 sessions a week over 4 weeks!

Players will work on the following Hockey Skills:

Stickhandling:
Stationary & moving puckhandling
Jukes and Dekes
Power turns with pucks
Transition stickhandling with pucks
Making power moves through the triangle
Puck protection

Shooting:
Wrist, Snap, Slap, Backhand Shots
Shooting w/Pressure
Stationary & Skating shots
Skating & Shooting With Pucks at at high end speeds

Small Area Games:
Shooting & Accuracy Games
