Day 2 of Golden Bear was nothing short of eventful

After weather delays pushed back the final holes of our Women’s 18-Hole Match Play, the competition came down to a shortened shootout and a dramatic finish

Claire Johnson and Emily Enriquez posted a 5 on Hole 9, highlighted by a clutch long putt from Emily. Holding the lead, Kris Machut had an opportunity to secure the championship with a putt for 4, but when the putt came up just short, the two teams were tied at 5 and headed to a chip-off

With her chip finishing just 17.8 inches from the hole, Kris secured the victory for her team and crowned Kris Machut and Kim Pierson our Women’s 18-Hole Match Play Champions

The celebration continued indoors as storms rolled through, featuring a roster pig, hand-rolled sushi from our culinary team, Dairy Lab ice cream, and another memorable evening at Bearpath

Cheers to St. Patrick’s Day

We had a great time celebrating with specials like our spinach artichoke dip baked in Irish soda bread and a shamrock shake martini
