HI BESTIE!!! 😍🤩♥ It's me again 😜

A compound movement is a movement within a strength training workout that engages more than one muscle group!

For example... a compound movement within a leg day routine would be a DEADLIFT:

A deadlift engages multiple muscle groups in order to complete a single reptition!

It engages:
- Lats, forearms, abdominal muscles, glutes, hamstrings, quads, soleus, etc.

As you can see multiple muscles are recruited to successfully complete a single rep!

Let's dive into how you can incorporate cardiovascular training into your workout routine!

It's not as crazy complicated as you might think!!

As a personal trainer, I like to run my clients through 2-3 rounds of a type of Circuitry or HIIT Training program like AMRAPS or EMOMs or Tabata Training...

A typical end of one of my workouts may look like this: 🧐🧐🧐

15min. EMOM:
(3 Rounds)
1.) 12 Goblet Squats
2.) 15 Push Ups
3.) 12 KB Swing
4.) 10 Burpees
5.) 60s Plank

And in the beginning of your workout you can do your regular workout routine.
I'm not saying that you should do this exact workout, you can definitely do the EMOM, but you are more than welcome to regress the exercises to something that you can do!

"WHAT IS AEROBIC AND CARDIOVASCULAR TRAINING?"

Hi Bestie!! ♥😍 (GREAT Question!!!!) 🤩🤩🤩

This type of training targets your cardiovascular system by intentionally increasing your heart rate for an extended period of time ...

A lot of times people assume that this just means elliptical work or treadmill work... which technically, they're not wrong... but this type of workout isn't exclusive to cardio machine...

If you've been following for a few weeks, a great way to train your cardiovascular system, is through HIIT Training: It increases your heart rate, challenges your muscular stamina, and can increase muscle mass, cardiovascular endurance, etc.

So, in its most basic definition, aerobic and cardiovascular training is: any exercise or set of exercises, that increases your heart rate for an extended period of time for the benefit of your cardiovascular system... (yes, it's THAT simple.)

You are doing movements or a single movement (HIIT Training or walking on a treadmill) for an extended period of time with the intention to increase your heart rate to benefit your cardiovascular system... and enhance the functionality of your body’s circulatory systems!!

HEY BESTIE!!! 🤩😍

When it comes to HIIT workouts there are my Top 3 HIIT routines:

1. Tabata: (Ex. Assault Bike Work: 20s intense, 10s rest, repeat for a given time length) (High Intensity all out segment, followed by a low intensity, rest period)
2. EMOM: (Every Minute on the Minute): (3-5 exercises, 10-15 reps, completed within a minute, repeated for a given amount of time)- (High intensity work (within a minute), followed by a varying rest period (just depend on how fast you get through the numbers)
3. AMRAP: (As Many Rounds As Possible): (3-5 exercises, varying rep ranges, specified number, repeated as fast as possible within a given amount of time (15-20 in)

When I do these types of workouts, I will often times "stack" the workouts. For example, I'll do 2 rounds of an AMRAP (15 min.) then I'll do an EMOM for 20-30 min... or I'll do one EMOM and one AMRAP (total time: 50m- 60m)
