The Pain Pivot

The Pain Pivot I help people take control of their own health, work through their limitations, & start living again. I have had chronic pain for most of my life.

My name is Michelle Mical and I am known as The Grandma Guru. I know the frustration of having side effects from my illnesses and the medications cause even more issues. When I was a child, some of my earliest memories are of being in a hospital surrounded by nurses. I had seizures, spiked temperatures for no reason, and even developed migraines. As a teen I found that I had Endometriosis and Poly

cystic Ovarian Syndrome (although it wasn't called that then). I have had so many surgeries and infertility issues. They pumped me full of experimental drugs that caused so many other issues! In my 20's, I volunteered as a crisis call volunteer for the Endometriosis Association when I was in my 20's. I helped so many people because I understood what they were going through. Then I was electrocuted. The accident caused a disease that was known as Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy (RSD) and is now considered Chronic Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS). The medications caused me to gain weight and get. These medications also made me have seizures again and even go blind for over a year. I went to many different therapists that tried to help, but it didn't work for me. Then I found life coaching. Oh my goodness! Life coaching helped me more in a few weeks than therapy did in 20 years! (NOTE - therapy does help, it just didn't work for me.) I felt like a new woman and learned to take my life back. I wanted to help people again. So I took coaching courses and became a certified Life Coach. Although I was doing helping people through their issues, I felt drawn to helping people living with chronic pain learn to live the life they want to live instead of allowing their limitations to keep them watching from the sidelines. I started The Pain Pivot so I can help you. Schedule your free consultation with me now. We will talk about your health issues, what you want your life to look like, and whether or not I can help you live your most fulfilled life.

I’m became a chronic illness coach to help people who struggle with chronic conditions learn how to live life between flare ups.

I have been living with many different types of chronic illnesses most of my life. Some of these illnesses are so bad that I found myself withdrawing from everyday life.

It was hard. It was lonely. And I felt like a burden to my family and friends.

I am once again having long-term symptoms from these issues and found myself struggling.

Then i remembered that I have been trained for this. I am spending the next few weeks trying to make life easier while I am once more learning to navigate life with these issues.

My posts are being talked to text, so I’m hoping there’s no errors. Please be patient if there are - I cannot see the screen right now.

Please know that if you are struggling, you are not alone. Turn to someone that you can talk to. Bottling up your emotions just adds to the stress of the illness and could make it worse.

Hang in there. Life can get easier with a few tweaks. You’ve got this!

What does grief mean to me?

💧Grief means having to struggle through life knowing I will never see your face, hear your voice, or be able to touch you again.

💧Grief means sitting in a room full of people who love me and still feeling as if I am alone in the world.

💧Grief means that part of my heart was ripped out and I may never again feel whole.

💧Grief means forgetting that you’re gone for a minute - only to have my world fall apart over and over again each time I realize you’re really gone.

Sometimes I look at people moving through their life as if they haven’t a care in the world and I get so angry that they get to live while I’m stuck in a never-ending loop of confusion, stress, and sadness.

I hear daughters complain about their father and I want to shake them until they realize that he won’t always be there. I would take my dad back on his angriest day just to have him here again!

Take pictures, make memories, record their voices, and make sure they know that you appreciate them. Because life without them is so much harder than you think it will be!
