Long weekend down in Ft Meyers Beach🌴Didn’t get to fish a ton, but I made the most of it fishing from the beach and dock at our AirBnB when I could. Would love to spend more time down there in the future and get dialed in to catch some bigger fish🐋 At the end of the day, I am always just happy to have a rod in hand and catch some fish!

It was really feeling like it was going to be one of those weekends where the musky just don’t want to show themselves after not seeing a thing Friday evening or Saturday… few pike got my hopes up for a split second, but it wasn’t until Sunday morning in my first 10 casts that I watched this fatty crush my glide bait about 15 feet from the boat🙌🏽

Little derb from the end of August🎣 What’s funny is, I had no intention on posting this picture because the day did not go as I hoped, and we ended up finishing right in the middle of the pack. However, the reality of it is that fishing can be tough. The bite is never exactly the same from one day to the next. I think that’s what I love about it so much though is the challenge of going out there and just figuring it out. Yes, this day was disappointing for me, but I learned a lot, and any day spent on the water doing what I love is a good day🙌🏽

Potentially my last weekend of the year in the northwoods🥲This summer has flown by, and our fall is absolutely slam packed, so the only fishing I do before ice will likely be close to home.

Made the most of my last weekend though, catching them in all different ways. Biggest fish came out on a deep w**d edge drop shotting, but I also ran into some solid fish frogging and punching as well🙌🏽

Pulling the boat down to Oklahoma for our family trip unfortunately did not go quite as planned. After blowing two tires on the drive down, I was still excited to explore and have the boat down there… that was until I blew up my trolling motor on the second day🤧Only ended up logging just a few hours of fishing, catching a handful of small largies and spotted bass before losing the trolling motor. Can’t win them all!!
