Get ready for summer roller skiing!
Mark your calendars for the third summer of roller skiing practices with Chippewa Valley Nordic! Beginning on Monday June 8th, these sessions are available for all team skiers at no additional cost, and are held Monday (new this season) & Wednesday evenings from 5:30-7:00(ish)p.m.
Mondays we will plan to meet at Trillium Park (Near Kahvi Coffee) where we'll focus primarily on agility work and place a coaching emphasis on beginner and developmental skiers, with some nearby hills and areas available for more advanced skiers to work on race-specific techniques.
Wednesdays we will meet near Coach Lars's house for a longer tour, with a focus on distance and consistent application of technique, with occasional interval work. Following these practices, skiers can enjoy some refreshments at Coach Lars's place!
We have a number of very nice pairs of team roller skis (currently skate only, but we are looking into purchasing some classic skis for this season) that are available for use on a first-come-first-serve basis.
