Welcome to the league, Namekagon SC 🪽

The Herons plan to play in Spooner, WI, and are named after the famous Namekagon River that flows through the Spooner/Hayward area.

They are the first club in the region since Inter Wisconsin FC (Spooner) folded in 2019 and Hayward Wolfpack FC (2019-2022) moved their club to Superior.

Established in 2025, the squad is focused on community, and has been preparing for the upcoming season, competing in the VSA League this winter.

A new champion will be crowned on Sunday 🏆

After narrow victories in the semifinals, both and will seek their first-ever WPASL title. Both clubs have one runners-up finish, the Cyclones in 2024 and the Wolfpack in 2021.

The two teams met earlier this year, as league leaders Cohan Hare and Kaden Bergman swapped goals in a 1-1 draw.
