Natty’s 2026 is a wrap! Words fall short of what this week and weekend mean to me and so many others. The Kubb community is like no other I have encountered, truly an extension of family. Thank you to ALL that make it happen.

PCHQ was again bustling with friends and family, opening with a screening of the Kings of Kubb documentary Friday Night. Saturday, day one of The US National Kubb Championships found PCHQ teams grinding 12 hours through pool play and day one brackets in the hot sun. The Anteto-Kubb-Bros (Ben, Nick and JP) made a run in Silver coming up a bit short of the podium. Poplar Culture (Drew, Jeff and Matt) came up inches short to make it to Sunday, and ended up, once again, being the last team playing on Saturday. We battled our way through the T17 bracket, falling short in the title game. 18th out of 144 was our 2nd highest finish all time. Kubbing for +1 status (Lydia, Calder and Dylan), in only their 2nd year, pummeled t and in the Bronze bracket making the podium and taking home 4 place medals. The LeSalty Batons (Bryan, Matt, Robert and Dick) in my opinion, top the entire field for the best shirt design of 2026!

Championship Sunday, well, if you were there, you know 🥹. Hollywood couldn’t write a better script as the Kubb Reapers take home the title, and more importantly, remind the rest of the Kubb world what we are all about. Kubb unites people and creates peace on earth. ❤️

So many ways to describe a person who had such an impact on a new sport in this country. Champion, legend, mentor, innovator, enthusiast, evangelist and much more. But I think more importantly to him would have been husband, father, grandfather and friend. Thank you, Dave, for everything you have done and been for the sport. Rest easy. You will be missed and loved by so many.el ringers

Poplar took the Silver Title in the Winter Sand League. Not bad to be on a podium in only your 2nd season, well done Ben! Once again, a high quality product from the ECKL, the best in the business.
