❤️ Some race memories last a lifetime.

Juli has been part of the Eau Claire Marathon family for years, but this year's race was extra special. She got to check off a bucket list item by running the Half Marathon with her son, William.

William, a recent UW-Eau Claire graduate and former Royal Credit Union intern, completed his first-ever half marathon and crushed his goal time by 18 minutes! 🎉

Even better, the memories they created together are something they'll both treasure forever.

"William is my sixth son, and I actually ran my first marathon after he was born. This year's memories are ones I will definitely treasure."

Stories like these are what make Eau Claire Marathon Weekend so special. ❤️

Happy Father's Day from the Eau Claire Marathon! 💙🏃‍♂️

Today we celebrate the dads who wake up before sunrise for training runs, push strollers through the early years, cheer from the sidelines, volunteer on race weekend, and inspire the next generation to believe they can do hard things.

One of our favorite stories from this year's Eau Claire Marathon Weekend was Andrew and Hannah Barnhardt. What started as a simple question about whether Hannah could run the Half Marathon turned into an unforgettable father-daughter journey. Together, they trained, raced, and crossed the finish line with memories that will last a lifetime. Their story is a reminder that running isn't just about miles—it's about the people we share them with.

To all the dads, grandpas, stepdads, father figures, and running buddies who make our community stronger—thank you for every mile, every high-five, and every lesson along the way.

Two races. Two days. One incredible challenge.

Congratulations to our 2026 Half & Half Challenge top finishers! These runners took on the ultimate weekend test by running the Get in Gear Half Marathon on Saturday and the Eau Claire Half Marathon on Sunday, then combining their times for the final standings.

This week’s FEET-ured Volunteer spotlight goes to the Girl Scouts 💚👏

“We had such a good time last Sunday! We ended up going further down near Eddy Lane which was still part of mile 18. It ended up working really well because we helped hand out nutrition too and the girls LOVED doing that! So we danced, cheered and had a great time!
We would LOVE to help again next year if you would have us!! Now we know what to expect and even have some ideas to make it even better!”

Thank you for bringing so much energy, encouragement, and fun to the course for our runners. We absolutely would love to have you back next year! 💙
