“Food is fuel.” You hear me say it all the time, because it matters. Do you notice a theme on this haul? Lots of whole food choices going in that cart.
Your body works just like your car:
No fuel? It won’t run.
Wrong fuel? It runs rough.
And right now, the processed food market is out of control. Just because the front package says “PROTEIN” doesn’t mean it’s a protein source. Food marketing can put that on the package if it’s 5g of protein or more. Pop tarts are doing it for crying out loud, that’s a carb packed food not protein!
Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for balance. I live by the 80/20 rule. There’s absolutely room for treats here and there. But when most of your intake is processed? That’s where problems start.
If you want real change, it has to be built on whole, quality foods.
Here’s the part people don’t want to hear:
Change takes time. Consistency. Patience.
If it took you 10+ years to get to where you are, it’s not going to reverse overnight. It may take years to truly undo the damage, and that’s okay. That’s the process.
Start simple:
• Make easy food swaps, lower calorie options
• Prep your meals
• Cut back on processed foods
• Ditch empty calories in drinks
But please…DONT starve yourself. DONT skip meals. That’s not the solution.
This can feel overwhelming. I get it. But you don’t have to figure it out alone.
