The good news? We are still open on Saturday, August 8th 6pm-8pm for our free kayaking event around the island!

Due to recent rainfall, river levels are extremely high and fast-moving.

At this time, the Eaton Rapids Outdoor Recreation Center does NOT recommend any kayaking, canoeing, or river activity until conditions improve. High water creates strong currents, hidden debris, and dangerous obstacles that can quickly turn unsafe—even for experienced paddlers.
