World Waterfowl Calling Championships Host to the globe’s best callers. A Maryland tradition since 1976. Today, the contest has evolved to hold 7 different contest categories.

The World Waterfowl Calling Championships have been operating in conjunction with the Waterfowl Festival since 1976. The contest's roots are steeped in the tradition of the historic Eastern Shore of Maryland and we strive to operate with the utmost integrity and professionalism year in and year out. Easton, MD has been affectionately known as the Goose Hunting Capital of the World, and early conte

st founders focused on creating a lasting legacy that would showcase their passion for waterfowl hunting. We have callers come from around the globe to compete for a coveted World Championship Title and become apart of a select club of one of the best Duck or Goose Callers on Earth. The spirit and legacy of Waterfowl Hunting is uniquely captured on the World stage with contestants focusing on creating the most realistic sounding duck and goose calling sequences as possible. Competitors focus on creating routines of sounds that simulate the process of hunting duck and geese in a blind and painting a picture for the judges. They emulate the sounds waterfowl will make when seeing birds at a distance, calling them in, losing the birds, then bringing them back and landing them on the ground. ​
