If you were lucky enough to learn how to hunt or shoot from a father, grandfather, or an old-school mentor, you probably walked away with a few pieces of advice that stuck with you for life.

Sometimes it was about safety, sometimes it was about reading the wind, and sometimes it was just about how to sit still and listen.

Old Glory. The Stars and Stripes.

To some, it’s just fabric and ink. But to our community, to the veterans who have served, and to everyone who cherishes the freedoms we enjoy every day, it represents everything worth protecting.

Today, we pause to celebrate Flag Day. A reminder of the unity, resilience, and history that the American flag stands for. We are incredibly proud to live, work, and hunt under these colors.

You haven’t truly lived until you’ve experienced all four seasons on the Eastern Shore. Each one has its own rhythm, and we were talking at the shop today about which one actually takes the crown.

Is it Spring, when the air finally clears and you’re taking that first cool morning ride on the Oxford-Bellevue Ferry? Maybe it’s Summer, with the chaos and salt air of Ocean City and a bushel of crabs on the table. 🦀

Or does your heart belong to the Fall, when the colors change on Dover Street and the morning air gets that "crisp" feeling that means the migration is close? Maybe you’re like us, the die-hards who live for Winter, tucked into a freezing blind with a thermos of coffee and a box of shells, waiting for the sky to turn grey with wings.

We see a lot of gear come through Albright’s, but our favorites are always the ones with a story. The shotguns with worn checkering from decades of use, or the old decoys that have seen more sunrises than we have.
