EASTERN SHORE TRIVIA
Easton has been called one of the "Goose Capitals of the World", but do you know why the Mid-Shore became THE destination for Atlantic Flyway waterfowlers?
The answer is corn. When Delmarva farming shifted heavily to corn and grain in the mid-1900s, migrating Canada geese found endless food between the Chesapeake's rivers and creeks, and they never looked back. At the peak, hundreds of thousands of geese wintered within an hour of our front door.
That heritage is why the Waterfowl Festival calls Easton home... and why this shop has been full of goose hunters every fall for over four decades.
