S***T SHOOT SATURDAY 1/10/26 at noon.
See below for more details.

Eastland Rifle and Pistol Club - S***t Shoot

When:
Starting at 12 noon, ending when we’re done shooting.

S***t Shooting:
The Eastland Rifle and Pistol Club will be opening its s***t range for regulation quality s***t shooting. S***t shooting is a shotgun shooting game of 25 flying targets shot from 8 stations arranged around a semi-circular layout. It is relatively easy to learn, humbling at times, but always a lot of fun.
If you’ve never shot s***t – don’t let that stop you! One or more Range Assistants will be there to give you a hand and guide you through the rules, nuances, and etiquette of the game. Our Range Assistants are passionate about the shotgun sports and eager to help everyone break targets, break more targets, and safely have fun shooting!
The goal at this time is to get a s***t program up and running as a start through the winter months ahead, add regulation style trap shooting as we can, and hopefully by spring, add 5 Stand Compact Sporting Clays for a fairly complete shotgun shooting experience.

You Need to Bring:
A shotgun (unloaded and remain unloaded until told to load and make ready by Range Assistant)
Shotgun shells (7-1/2, 8, or 9 shot only)
Ear and Eye Protection (mandatory)
More shells (no one can stop a just one round)
Friends with shotguns, shells, and the other stuff
OK, so you don’t have to bring friends, but s***t is a social game so it’s always great to have friends shooting with you. And don’t discount the likelihood of wives, girlfriends, sisters, sons, and daughters wanting to give s***t a try. Shooting sports are great for everyone.
You Also Need to Bring:
$4 per round for members; $6 per round for non-members
(member pricing will extend to spouse and any children under 18 years of age only)
Signed liability waivers will need to be signed by all participants and kept on file for 6 months to be used for returning shooters.
Non-shooters are welcome to attend, but must stay away from any active shooting range and will be required to sign liability waiver.
Minors will need a parent or guardian present at all times and have a signed waiver by parent or guardian.
The Club Will Provide:
Targets, Trap Machines, Range Assistants
Gun Racks, Shade, Benches
A safe and enjoyable experience

Access:
The Ringling Lake Road gate at the North end of County Road 536, as well as the gun range gate will be open for member and non-member access during the s***t shooting hours.

PLEASE NOTE: Non-Members may participate in the S***t Shoot, but will not have access to the general range for other shooting. Memberships are always available and may be purchased at the range during the S***t Shoot if greater access to the range is desired.

SPECIAL REMINDER:
NO SHOTGUN / SHOTGUN LOAD use is permitted on the front ranges / shooting lanes.
Any use of shotguns or fi****ms that discharge a shotgun load on the front range may result in immediate termination of your membership.
We are working to install a Shotgun Lane and Patterning Board in the back Trap & S***t Range for shotgun use.
Thank you.

Huge shoutout to club VP Don Walls. He organized a small cleanup crew on Saturday. Sorry gents as I don't know who all joined, but if you did please say hello here. All trash cans, trash from random stuff brought to range to shoot at (which is against club rules), random items, and the trash pile from classroom and bathroom cleanups were all removed. Surprisingly it filled a large dump trailer. It is volunteerism like this that shows the care and ownership it takes to maintain such an amazing piece of land and property.

As shared previously Michael and Russel have done the same at the Trap & S***t Range. All their hard work has gotten that range back in working order and they will be hosting our first S***t shoot this coming Saturday at Noon. Thank you gents.

In an effort to keep the range clean and safe, please note that following:

1. Only actual targets (paper / steel / etc) / or even homemade paper targets may be used. DO NOT bring appliances, glass bottles, gas or pressurized containers, explosives targets, or anything else that is not an actual sporting target or material.

2. Please pickup after yourself. Now that the trash cans are getting emptied there is no excuse for not throwing away your trash. This includes used targets, ammo boxes, lunch wrappers, etc.

3. If you have completed shooting and your targets are shot up please retrieve them and throw them away. If they are still usable and will not be impacted by weather you are welcome to leave them up.

4. Try to leave the range better than you found it. If you see random trash please help and throw it away before wind / weather blows it into bushes.

5. There is absolutely ZERO alcohol or drugs allowed at the range. If we find bottles and cans we will assume they were consumed at the range and violators will lose membership and range access benefits.

Thank you again for your support.

IMPORTANT CLUB UPDATE...

As shared previously we are changing the “RANGE” gate code. Effective this evening, Monday 12/1/25 at 6pm, the “RANGE” Gate code will be changed. The previously supplied code will still be valid for the "park entrance", but the new code will be needed to access the range. As per the club rules this code shall not be shared to anyone and doing so may result in immediate termination of your membership privileges. Thank you for understanding.

Emails have been sent to ALL active members that provided a valid email address. If you have any issues with access, please contact us bt sending a private message here or [email protected] and we will restore access / assist as quickly as possible. You can also contact me at the Talon Tactics phone numbers previously provided. When calling the Talon phone number please leave a message with your name so we can validate your membership. Any missed calls that do not leave a message will be treated as spam and will not be returned. Thank you for understanding.

It is very important that this new code remain secure for the following reasons (and more)
1. It is not fair to paying members if non-members have access, so please respect your membership and that of others.
2. We have had issues with people not respecting the club, the range, and the rules that are in place to protect people and property. Our hope is by controlling access we can prevent this mis-use.
3. We will be continuing both personal time and financial investment in the range and must protect those investments.
4. Lastly and most important is liability. We must secure the range to minimize any liability caused by injury or worse by the mis-use and access by those that have not signed a liability release. We must exercise due diligence in preventing unknown access.

We appreciate all members and those that have shown interest in our club and range. We are working had to create something you can enjoy with your friends and family and ask you to play your part in respecting and protecting them.

Thank you.

Wishing you all a safe and Happy Thanksgiving. May your tables be filled with bountiful blessings and surrounded by love...

TRAP & S***T UPDATE

Good morning everyone. After posting pics of a clean range we have received a few requests for setting up shoots at the Trap & S***t Range. Until we get the page fully opened up for admin managed posting I am seeding this post to start the conversation about the Shotgun Range.

1. We are considering the Trap & S***t Range as being open as a "soft opening". What does this mean? It means that we will not be planning any formal matches and shoots until Jan 2026, but we will have some informal shoots that will be coordinated through Michael Lundstrom, Russell Griffin, and Michelle Levens.

2. Soft matches will be coordinated, supervised, and managed by the above individuals and will be open to all members. As far as guests, the same rules apply:your spouse and children under the age of 18 that reside with you are part of your membership. Guests are welcome on a limited access only (1, maybe 2 visits) after which they need to buy a membership.

3. There will be no additional cost at this time for soft matches, but we do ask for donations to the "clay fund" or bring a box or two of clays that can help keep stock levels up. The club will be seeding the initial cost of stocking clays so that they are there to be used.

4. Michael, Russel, and Michelle represent the club and will be the only ones that have access and control to the towers and trap throwers. We will explore training and certifying others at a later date, but for everyone's safety as well as protecting the range and equipment this must be the policy at this time.

5. All range rules will apply and we ask that you pick up after yourself. This is your range as a collective membership, not you as an individual. What that means is you MUST respect the range and your fellow members and ONLY use the range facilities as intended - such as NO SHOTGUNS OR ANYTHING THAT SHOOTS A SHOTGUN LOAD ON THE FRONT PISTOL AND RIFLE LANES. This also means please leave it better than you found it.

6. Michael, Russel, and Michelle will have the authority granted by the Board to eject anyone from the range for behavior or safety issues. They will then escalate the matter to the board for review and final membership / range access decision.

7. In addition to the above "soft opening / informal matches" members (and their limited use guests) are welcome to use the Shotgun Range with your personal thrower, the manual thrower installed on left side, and general use. Again, please do not shoot any buildings or structures, make a mess of the property, and always follow all posted rules.

8. Please use this post to start your discussions, share the information, and coordinate with Michael, Russell, and MIchelle to join an informal match.

Thank you for your support and we look forward to evolving the club and range for a greater experience.

As part of our mission to not only be good stewards of the property and be actively involved in bettering our greater community, we also support Law Enforcement. With your understanding with a temporary range closure this morning we were able to host our DPS State Troopers. Giving them access to a facility that is close to "home" where they can build upon their tools and skills they can better protect and serve. We thank all our LEOs for their support and service.
