Sweet Flow is a Community Yoga Movement centered in Northampton and Easthampton, MA. I'm a professor of philosophy and have been teaching yoga, meditation, and Eastern philosophy in university classes and at colleges since receiving my PhD in 2007. I received my Yoga Alliance yoga teacher certification from Yandara Yoga in Bali, Indonesia and I love to weave together humor, strength, flexibility,
and philosophy into fun yoga classes that are intended to build community and sharing. Some of my classes are offered by donation because I believe in cultivating a freely giving and sharing spirit that's at the heart of a true yoga practice. Check out my paper "Why Are You Standing on My Yoga Mat?!" published in Yoga -- Philosophy for Everyone: Bending Body and Mind and "Is Enlightenment Dependent Upon God?" in The Philosophy of Spirituality. "I highly recommend Sweet Flow Yoga as a fun way to enjoy a healthy workout and be around friendly people. As a guy who's a beginner at yoga, I found her class more inviting than most classes I've tried. She gives people the opportunity to push themselves while also creating a nurturing and relaxed atmosphere. It feels like a bunch of friends doing yoga together with an expert leader." -Kyle Hoffman
