Most self-defense conversations revolve around punches, knives, or fi****ms.
Then the internet gives us this.

One man tries using a jacket as an improvised shield against an opponent who appears to have unlocked the ability to breathe fire.

As ridiculous as it looks, there’s a real lesson here:
Fire changes everything.

Once it enters the equation, control disappears fast. Wind, clothing, fuel sources, surroundings, and bystanders can all become part of the problem in seconds.

The question isn’t just, “Can I win?”

It’s, “Is this situation worth staying in?”

Sometimes the best self-defense tactic isn’t closing distance.
It’s creating it.

What would you do if your opponent suddenly became a dragon?

This purse snatcher thought he found an easy target.

Instead, he found someone who was trained.

What stands out isn’t the aggression.
It’s the composure.

She fights for position. Uses the environment. Creates space. Controls the clinch. Delivers effective strikes.

This wasn’t luck.
This wasn’t adrenaline.
This was skill.

Training doesn’t guarantee success.
But it creates options that untrained people simply don’t have.

Most people think multiple-attacker situations are won with toughness.

They're not.

They're won with positioning.

When two or more people are trying to put hands on you, the goal isn't to fight everyone at once. The goal is to move in a way that prevents them from fighting you at the same time.

In this Patreon breakdown, I walk through a real-world encounter and show you the principles that matter most when you're outnumbered:

• Movement
• Angles
• Positioning
• Space management

The knockout isn't the lesson.

The lesson is understanding how one person can survive a problem that most people would assume is impossible to solve.

If you train for self-defense, this is required viewing.

The person who walks away from this encounter starts making winning decisions long before the final shot is ever thrown.

Most people will watch this fight and focus on the knockout.

They’re watching the wrong thing.

This fight was won with footwork, angles, timing, and positioning.

Because in a multiple-opponent encounter, the moment two attackers can put hands on you at the same time, things go bad very quickly.

If you’ve ever wondered how one person can survive being outnumbered, watch this carefully.

Would your current training prepare you to solve the same problem?

Memorial Day isn’t about a long weekend.
It’s about remembering the men and women who stepped forward when it mattered most.

Freedom has a price.
And somebody paid it.

Today we remember them.

Train hard.
Lead your family well.
Carry yourself with gratitude.
And never forget that comfort was built on sacrifice.

Most people think they’d act under pressure.

Most people freeze.

Not because they’re weak—
because chaos overloads the nervous system.

Violence moves fast.
Emotion moves slower.

That hesitation changes everything.

Training changes that.

The goal isn’t becoming violent.
The goal is becoming harder to shut down when reality gets chaotic.

Ego + Entitlement – Sobriety = Consequences.
This wasn’t a fight.
This was a math problem… and he failed it.

Most people hesitate, freeze, and create distance. They assume someone else will act. That's just the bystander effect. But one capable person does the right thing when it matters most.

“Waste no more time arguing what a good man should be. Be one.” – Marcus Aurelius

He manages the distance, monitors the arm, and controls the moment.
Then when it’s time, he closes the gap before the other guy can act.
That’s the reactionary gap.

04/12/2026

Training isn’t just about fighting. It’s about control.
Control your breathing, your emotions, and your decisions.
Because if you can’t control yourself…
you can’t control the outcome.
Sometimes the highest level tactic is walking away.
