Isaiah Likely is quickly proving to be one of the Giants' most valuable offseason additions, and his growing role in New York's offense could become even more important as the season progresses.
After joining the team in free agency, the tight end has wasted little time establishing himself as a reliable target and an important weapon in the passing game.
In Week 5, Likely delivered one of the best performances of his career, recording a career-high 11 receptions for 94 yards and two touchdowns in a 27-27 overtime tie against Washington.
His production has been impressive throughout the season. Likely is tied for the NFL lead among tight ends with four receiving touchdowns, ranks second with 33 receptions and fourth with 284 receiving yards.
Those numbers highlight how effectively he's adapted to his new team and how frequently the Giants have relied on him to create opportunities offensively.
Now New York returns home to face New Orleans, an opponent Likely has already found the end zone against during his time with Baltimore.
With the Giants looking to turn their recent offensive production into victories, another strong performance from Likely could help them take an important step forward.
