Franklin Youth Wrestling This program focuses on the development of physical, mental and emotional endurance via the great sport of wrestling.

Serving students in the Franklin HS neighborhood in grades 6-8. Proud member of NWJCWA, PIL and USA Wrestling. We are a youth wrestling organization that serves children in grades 6-8 in Southeast Portland. The season goes from early November through February, with a small winter break. The program operates out of Franklin High School and is a feeder program to Franklin High School Wrestling. Thi

s program welcomes new and experienced wrestlers and will help develop coordination, flexibility, balance, self-esteem and self-discipline. We believe in personal development through community participation and hold all participants and supporters to practice positivism, respect and communication.

- About the Coach -
Lead by former Franklin High School wrestler, Bradley Vaughan, his dedication and perseverance in both individual and team development keep them preparing for wrestling season all year. Franklin Youth Wrestling is an active member of of the Youth Portland Interscholastic League (PIL), the Northwest Junior Collegiate Wrestling Association (NWJCWA) and follows USA Wrestling Guidelines. Unfortunately, we will not be offering wrestling for elementary school wrestlers.

This season we will be hosting practices for Elementary kids in grades 3 through 5. Register through the Google Form below.
Although there will not be many wrestling events, we are set to have a lot of fun and learning in the mat room!

Practice:
Tuesdays and Thursdays // 5:30-6:30pm
Franklin High School Mat Room (Lower Level of the Gymnasium)
Fee: $0 but you must purchase a USA wrestling athlete membership ($51)

Hi Everybody,

We're excited to begin this season, and we are looking forward to our parent meeting this Wednesday at 5:30pm. We'll host this meeting via Google meetings, so everyone can join remotely.
