Hated it when I was a kid, love it now as an adult.
My mother's dedication to living a healthy and active lifestyle was SUPER annoying as a kid.
Mom: "Want to go on a walk with mommy?"
12y/o me: "ugh NO! "
The tv and couch, while eating cereal, was the life for me. ✌
Regardless, my mother stayed true to what she valued for herself. And sure enough, as I became an adult I realized she laid the groundwork for where I am at now, just as a mere influence and nothing more.
So for all you moms out there, stay true to what you value in your health, regardless of what your kids or family say, do, or think about it. You will reap the rewards of it at some point. Even of you dont, the worst thing that will happen is that you are the healthiest you, you've ever been.
It's ok if your kids dont want to be involved, they are still seeing you do it!
Keep being a positive influence moms!!!

That beast used to cripple me, and keep me from moving forward, and even though that doesnt happen any more, that doesnt mean the beast doesnt show up.
Change is hard, you're not alone! And you don't have to fall victim to overwhelm.
My #1 one way to battle this beast is to just pause! Sometimes I need to write or talk out the craziness going on in my brain, and other times I reevaluate what I'm doing. If I start to feel crippled then I adjust, and that's ok. But most importantly I keep moving forward!!

The simplest things can have such huge impacts on your body. This is a simple technique I do to help decompress my spine, give the muscles in my back a change to fully relax and let go. This is a favorite move I do in between chiropractor and acupuncture appts, because yes I tend to put those off 😬
"Unlocking " your back like this is extremely beneficial, you will be surprised, as you are letting go, where you are holding tension and stress.
Stabilize yourself and lay face down on the ball and let go. It won't happen all at once! It may even actually start to hurt. This is a good sign that you are doing it right and goes to show how much you're holding on to.
My clients are always surprised that this is way to simple to have any effect, so they dont often listen 🀣😬😩 DONT BE THAT PERSON!! Hehe

In 2011 I was exhausted from being so critical of my body when I looked in the mirror...πŸ˜«πŸ‘€
I was tired of doing EVERYTHING in the gym and in the kitchen to get my dream body and still not being satisfied...

No More Excuses! Motivate Yourself NOW!

You may already know that motivation is one of the keys that determine success or failure. However, just knowing doesn't make it any easier to gain motivation. If you feel that you're having trouble properly motivating yourself, it's time for you to act. Not tomorrow, but today.
Finding your motivation is something personal. The best way to find motivation is to explore your options and discover something that works for you. Motivation is like a muscle, keep working it and it will get stronger and stronger!

Consider the following ways to motivate yourself today:

1. Avoid just going through the motions.
One reason you may find it difficult to perform everyday tasks is that you get bored. Of course you're going to try to avoid something that you find tedious! You can combat this mentality by adding some depth to your thinking while you're engaging in tasks you dislike.
β€’ Brainstorm ways that you can complete the task in a more efficient manner. Then you can compete with yourself to see how quickly you can complete the task in the future. The quicker you get it done, the sooner you can move on to bigger and better things!

2. Get spiritual.
Don't be afraid to get in touch with your spiritual side. Many people find it highly motivating! When you discover some answers to life's tough questions, it brings you clarity, and you may be more likely to work harder to achieve your desires.

3. Set a goal.
You might lack motivation because you don't have a goal. If you aren't even sure what you're working towards, you'll have difficulty finding motivation.
β€’ If you have a large goal, break up the goal into a series of small, achievable tasks and set each task as a separate goal. This helps you maintain motivation because you're constantly achieving your goals. You can see the results of your hard work!

4. Hold yourself accountable.
In order to ensure that you don't stray from your chosen path, evaluate your progress every week or even every day. Determine how you can do better the next week.
β€’ If you find that it's difficult to keep yourself accountable, don't be afraid to ask for help. You may enjoy having others check up on you to make sure you stay on task.

5. Think positive thoughts.
Negative thinking and lack of motivation go hand in hand. You can increase your motivation by concentrating on eliminating your negative thinking patterns. Replace negative feelings with optimism and positive thoughts and images.
β€’ When you catch yourself feeling down, make an extra effort to seek the silver lining. It's always there. If you take the time to look hard enough, you'll find it.

6. Make a change.
If you think you've tried everything and you still can't get motivated, perhaps you should consider a life change. Maybe there's a reason why you're feeling this way.
β€’ If you don't feel motivated to work toward your major life goals, consider some alternatives that may be more in line with your true desires.
β€’ If you're having trouble finding motivation for everyday chores, see if you can find a way to hire some help.

Always keep in mind that "the time is now." Put procrastination into your past and you'll feel happy and accomplished at the end of the day, instead of stressed out or regretful.
When you're motivated, life is more fulfilling. Use these strategies to wake up your motivation and enjoy the difference!

I'm so excited for some new things happening SO soon!
I've been in my little cave, working away, trying to balance everything else while getting these projects completed.
Its difficult stepping into uncharted territory. Fear, doubts, and ultimately procrastination sneak in because its all so unfamiliar. BUT I keep trudging forward, because it is absolutely vital for me to achieve my goals.
Sometimes it's easy, but it's also super hard overcoming all the negativity, but as I have learned to make Fear my friend, it gets easier and easier.
