The tournament has been deemed “one of the most amazing success stories on the PGA TOUR” according to past PGA TOUR commissioner, Tim Finchem. Simply put, it has survived. Withstanding multiple changes in location and title sponsors, it is unlike other small-market events and has managed to thrive as a community-based, charity-oriented tournament. r capita giving and was named “PGA TOUR – Tournament of the Year” in 2016. The mission of the John Deere Classic, a non-for-profit corporation, is to conduct a PGA TOUR sanctioned professional golf tournament that will contribute positively to the quality of life in our community. The John Deere Classic also strives to provide growing annual financial contributions to charities in our area, as well as promote volunteerism. Through the golf tournament and various tournament programs, our main goal is to provide a positive economic impact to the community.

June's Community Hero is Sheri Bradley 💚

With heavy hearts, we share that Sheri passed away in March after a courageous battle with cancer. Sheri was known as a bright and steady presence in our community, and while we miss her deeply, we are honored to celebrate her life and lasting impact with a donation in her memory to Women Opening Windows.

Sheri was a favorite in the John Deere Classic volunteer tent, where she served as a Co-Chairperson and was part of the lunch crew each day of the tournament. She was known for her big smile, warm welcome, and her gentle insistence that you have your lunch ticket ready before you ate. If you know, you know.

We miss Sheri terribly, but she was a wonderful example of community service, generosity and kindness. Thank you to her family for sharing her with us and allowing us to recognize her.

Three of the most entertaining personalities in baseball are peeling away from the diamond and heading to the John Deere Classic Pro-Am on Wednesday, July 1. It’s the perfect bunch for a day of birdies, laughs, and unforgettable moments.

Kyle Luigs, Bill LeRoy and Zack Frongillo will also be lending a hand at the Youth Clinic, too! It will be a very a-peel-ing day!
