JUNIOR LEGION UPDATE

We were planning on having tryouts over the weekend, but the field is not in condition after all this rain.

Coaches will be meeting and discussing a new tryout date.

East Moline Post 227 2016 ⚾️🏆

⚾️ THROWBACK TIME! ⚾️

Our next throwback takes us back to 2016, when the 3rd Division was still traveling from town to town for the tournament. That year, Rock Island Post 200 had the honor of hosting the 3rd Division Tournament.

It was quite a tournament for East Moline Post 227, as they battled their way through the losers bracket and fought all the way to a 2nd Place Finish! 🥈⚾️

As the original post said:

"If you wanna get to State, you gotta come through the MIGHTY 3rd Division!" 💪⚾️

Unfortunately, I don't have a picture of the tournament champion from that year, as I was not yet the Division Chairman at the time. But we can still take a moment to recognize the accomplishments of the teams who battled it out in 2016!

Congratulations to East Moline Post 227 on a great tournament and an outstanding season! 👏

Senior Legion

Post 227’s season came to an end on Friday. This summer was filled with exciting moments, memorable performances, and tremendous growth from every player on the roster. While injuries presented challenges throughout the season, this team never backed down. They continued to compete, support one another, and represent Post 227 on and off the field. We’re excited to see what the future holds for Post 227 and can’t wait to welcome our returners back for another season.

We want to extend our gratitude to our seniors for their time and commitment this summer, and are looking forward to see what they accomplish next.

Landon Skiles: Landon is wrapping up 6 years of playing Legion Baseball! LJ started playing for Post 227 as an 8th grader filling in on a short handed team. LJ has been a major part of Post 227 baseball and has helped shape our program to be what it is today. His dedication, leadership, and love for the game will be truly missed. We look forward to following his journey!

Carter Ramsey: Carter has been an outstanding representative of Post 227 baseball. His commitment to improving every single season is something every player in our program should strive for. His work ethic, character, and willingness to compete have made him a valuable teammate and leader. We are proud of the player and person Carter has become, and we look forward to watching him continue to succeed in the future!

Kellan Kennedy: Kellan has been incredible behind the plate for the last few seasons and was someone we could always count on. It’s truly been a pleasure to coach this kid. One thing about Kellan is he’s going to give 100% and leave everything he has out there on the field. We look forward to see what’s next in store for him!
