EMBSA Families,
On behalf of the Board of Directors and myself, we would like to thank you all for supporting our program and marching in our parade.
The weather was not ideal and the date is never perfect for everyone, but it seemed like the kids had a good time marching through the streets of our community.
As I walked around the pool talking to parents, and spoke to some on the complex, I was surprised to find out how many of them had no idea about our complex maintenance.
This complex is maintained solely by volunteers, with no assistance from the State, County, or Town.
Our Board Members are parents with jobs — some with no children playing in the program anymore — who give of their time freely and unselfishly, most times at the expense of their own family time.
We need help. When it rains we need help pumping the fields so they can be playable for our children. We are not asking for an all-day commitment — just an hour or two when you can. Clean out the dugout when your game is over. Pick up the soda can instead of walking around it.
Due to Saturday night's rain, there is a real possibility that we might not get games in this week without help getting the fields ready. If you can spare even an hour over the next few days to help pump and prep the fields at 90 Merrick Avenue, please reply to this email and we will get you connected with the right board member right away.
We all have a thousand things going on in our lives, and all of us could be doing something else. Please consider helping us help your children have a great place to play.
Thank you,
Steve LaSala
Commissioner
