Sometimes the best days are the simple ones.

We loaded up the kayaks, grabbed a fishing rod, brought the dog along, and spent the evening chasing fish until the sun went down. There’s just something special about being out on the water in Downeast Maine with good company and a great view.

Single Kayak Rentals

⏰ 2 Hours – $20
☀️ 5 Hours – $30
🌅 24 Hours – $40
🏕️ 48 Hours – $70
📅 1 Week – $180

All rentals include a paddle and life jacket.

🚚 Delivery Available!

✅ Free delivery within 5 miles of East Machias.

📍 From 5–15 miles, delivery is $1 per mile.

📍 Beyond 15 miles, delivery is $2 per mile for each additional mile.

After a lot of thought and planning, we’ve made the decision to shift the direction of M.E. Marine & Dive Supply.

While we originally planned to focus heavily on commercial fishing supplies, we realized that for a small startup business, the risk and inventory demands of the commercial marine industry are extremely high. We want to make sure we build something sustainable that can continue to grow and serve the community long term.

Moving forward, our focus will be on outdoor sporting goods and recreation, including:
🎣 Fishing
🏕️ Camping
🚣 Kayaking & Canoeing
🌊 Diving & Marine Recreation
⚓ Boating Essentials

We will still be carrying gloves and select essentials used by our local fishermen, but we’ll also be expanding into products that support the many outdoor activities people enjoy here in Downeast Maine.

This was not an easy decision, but we truly believe it is the right one for the future of the business and the community we want to serve.

We also finally have an opening date in mind and plan to announce it very soon. We know it has taken longer than expected to open, and we truly appreciate everyone’s patience and support while we continue building the shop the right way.

We’re excited for what’s ahead and can’t wait to welcome everyone in soon.

Our hearts are absolutely broken for one of our coworkers and family friend after the sudden loss of her husband.

He was a devoted husband, father, and provider who loved his family deeply, and this loss is unimaginable for everyone who knew them.

At M.E. Marine & Dive Supply, we are more than coworkers — we are family. We want Joan N Stephen Johnson and her children to know that this community stands beside them and that they are not alone through this difficult time.
